Thinking about baseball. Announcers at Louisville game went on and on about how many walks FSU had relative to other teams. But much was not said about the relatively low batting averages in the starting lineup.
Is it possible that our history of decline in tournament play, regional, super regional and World Series can somewhat be attributed to the fact that our run production falls off considerably as we begin to face better and better pitching (not going to get the walks that we have come to depend upon and have to finally hit the ball)
as we progress through post season play - in large part because of our poor hitting when we have to face
better and better pitching????
