D-day veteran honored at the game today

I'm trying to find more info on his unit. Anybody heard of this before? I'm not sure how to search for it

very cool.

on a sadder note, I think they said he was the only one in his unit to survive. Was hard to hear with all the cheering.

Bob is a great fan and true gentleman. He goes to every baseball game and never leaves early. Always front and center at the Jimbo call in show, he is an inspiration.

NCDU and UDT men went in a few days before to recon the beach prior to the landing. If you remember Operation Overlord was rolled to the right because of the weather.

Guy next to me at the game leaned over and said "kinda makes picking up this 3rd down not so important" .

Thanks for the help, everything I googled was giving me pre-invasion speeches and preparations, nothing about sneaking onto the beach.

Good stuff by FSU all day, from the oath of service to the flyover to honoring those veterans; well done.
