Dak Prescott jumped in Panama City

I've been following this on Deadspin today - apparently the guys that did it were pretty forthcoming on Twitter about it.

I have three issues with this:

1. You don't get "jumped" if you are in the parking lot walking toward the mob with your shirt off.

2. There is a tape of a cop working two drunk white dudes while white onlookers kick sand on them in PCB. The Prescott video rang with comments about, "that's why we call them n=====s". What did these great southern Facebookers say about the drunk white mob?

3. Panama City Beach should be nuked and started over.

PCB is great and not trashy at all except for this time of year.

Sadly, whenever I tell people I'm from PCB the first thing they say is, "oh yeah, Club LeVela, partied there Spring Break" then they walk away thinking it's like that all year long...which it isn't in the least. PCB is very family friendly nowadays and a great place to spend a long weekend or week to relax and get away. Again, just not this time a year...not at all.

Indeed

"Unfortunately the police were unable to make an arrest as nobody wanted to admit to being beat up by the Gap Band."

That video of the police officer "sleeper holding" the 2 white guys was NOT taken in PCB. It was taken at St. Pete Beach.

Does it matter?

Used to party at la vela back in the day when on spring break. Place is pretty trashy now.

I went to panama city last year just for the weekend on spring break to have fun down on the beach with some friends. I've been to panama city for spring break a few times about 6 years ago. I knew or at least thought I knew what I was getting into but man things have changed and fast from my view point. I go to Panama City plenty of times during the summer also and I love it but last year during spring break I could not believe how trashy and thugish it was. There were literally gangs fighting on the strip.

It's simple, there are about 6 weeks between March and April where you should avoid PCB like the plague.

The other 46 weeks of the year its a nice place to vacation.

That's all it takes. So many people have this impression of PCB. The real reason it is garbage is because it is so affordable.

It's got a nice beach, sure. But I would rather go to any other beach in Florida over PCB. PCB would be best off if they got rid of the strip and redeveloped the whole damn thing. i may be biased because I did live in Hilton Head for 10 years.

I'm a big fan of the area and my ease of getting over to St. George, Apalachicola, Grayton, St. Jo, and PCB is probably the only thing I'm going to miss when I leave Tallahassee. But I definitely skip heading over during Spring Break time. Too many dbags in PCB proper.

PCB wouldn't be as bad if they hadn't errected all of the condos on front beach road that effectively kill any view of the beach from the road.

I've been to PCB in the winter and it's god-awful miserable. And dead.

Long time since you have been here then, this place is slammed in the winter. There's probably a dozen or more brand new restaurants being built in a few miles radius of my house. They are building a town in Inlet Beach, there will be a mayor there in 10 years the way it's growing.

I have been in and around PCB all of my life and in the past the only way I wanted anything to do with it was to see it from offshore. That has really changed in the last few years. As jam said there are lots of new restaurants, Pier Park, nice family friendly things to do and lots of other stuff. Like someone else mentioned I wished they would have made all the condos and houses locate on the north side of 98, but you can't really see a beach anywhere anymore. I am not a big fan of crowded areas and had much rather go to Cape San Blaus to get away, but PCB has made a lot of good improvements. It is rapidly becoming another Destin type area. I do wish they could pull a Daytona and shut down the spring break though. It seems every year it gets worse and worse.

I grew up on the beach, Cape san Blas is more of a tourist beach to me. Theres literally nothing there but a beach. I need to be entertained, I have no desire to be at a beach with nothing. If I didn't live on the beach I might care about a sunset stroll on the beach for something other than exercise.

It always seems to me when vacation on CSB the majority of folks are from within 100miles, usually a lot from Tally. I go there strictly to get away from crowds and actually enjoy the beach. Usually have the boat with me so we are either scalloping or I am offshore diving. Even with PCB I much prefer taking the boat to the far end of Shell Island with just a few friends and enjoy the day. I like a lot of new spots in PCB but other than putting my boat in at the park or visiting my kids who both live on the beach I rarely cross the bridge from the 1st of Mar- Labor Day.

Cape san Blas has as much activity as PC. I grew up in town but never go there any more, if there was actually something there to go to I would. My hometown is dying, everybody packed up and moved to the beach. I live 5 miles from PCB and 18 from San Destin, its actually quiet where i live except on certain weekends

Lived in Panama City for over 20 years, the beach and their counsel get what they deserve when it comes to spring break . they have invited this atmosphere for decades and it has only gotten much much worse. I also think the beach is great other times of the year but not for spring break. my daughter is a supervisor at the summit condos next to love Lavella, and sees all kinds of crazy crap tell me about it weekly
