Through two easy games Cook as 422 yards on just 49 carries. That's an incredible 8.6 yards per carry. He also has 5 rushing TD.

In his last five games going back to last year he has 846 yards on 119 carries. That's 7.1 yards per carry.

So this year he's got 10 regular season games left plus at least one more after that for a bowl and possibly one or two more on top of that (ACCCG and national championship game). He could have 15 total games ... meaning 13 more. He will have at least 11 more games.

Warrick Dunn holds the all time single-season rushing record with 1,242 yards in 1995. That was in 11 games as they didn't include post-season game stats in total season stats. If you add in the 151 that Dunn had against Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl that he had 1,393 yards in 12 games. He had 166 carries in the 11 regular season games (7.5 avg). He had 22 in the bowl so that gave him 188 in the entire 12 game season (7.4 avg).

If Cook averaged 100 yards flat per game for the rest of the regular season he'd wind up with 1,422 yards in 12 games. Throw in a bowl game at 100 yards and he's at 1,522.

I see Cook having a few more 140ish type games and I don't see him being shut down really in any game. He'll certainly be under 100 in a few, but I think that averaging 100 the rest of the way is not going to be a problem.

This is exciting stuff as I love a strong running game and FSU looks to have one. We've also got two stud reserves to spell Cook more as the season drags on in Pender and Patrick.

Sit back and enjoy!
