juat read a mock that had Dalvin to Carolina. In my opinion I would hate to see him running a read option style offense.

Would love to see him in Green Bay or somewhere like it where he could really complement an elite QB and quite possibly even steal the show. I think he has Jamaal Charles type upside with better balance and vision. Let's start the discussion. Not because your a fan but what offense do you think would allow Dalvin to become NFL legendary? Look forward to the responses.

Rivera said they may transition away from read option attack to extend Cam's career. I think Dalvin would fit in nicely in Carolina but personally I think they take Fournette.

I love Dalvin but better vision and balane than Jamal Charles dude your crazy.
A healthy Jamal Charles is top 3 back in the league. If all health A.D. Charles then Bell.
The guy avg over 5ypc almost 6 yrds for career. Dalvin will be great but no where near the vision of Charles

Nobody really knows how Dalvin is going to translate to the league until he actually gets there. However, Dalvin was by far the superior back in college.

I have to disagree on this one. Jamal had (in his prime and may still have) track speed. His burst and speed are elite. Dalvin vision is one of his gifts. I don't really remember Jamal Charles at UT or Chiefs having such profound vision. What I recall is if he has a crease he can hit it with the best of them. There are a few backs that have been consistenly better than Charles in the league. Now Dalvin has to do it in the NFL (so some of this is speculation). But Charles isn't Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson and didn't have a dominate run like CJ2k. I think Dalvin may blow away your expectations of him at the next level. He's that good IMO.

just hoping he doesn't go to Cleveland or the Jets. I can see the Colts taking him.

I'm really hoping he lands with the Colts as you couldn't ask for a much better pairing than with Andrew Luck that early in the draft. However I'm not sure he'll last to pick 14.

There's only 5 teams with 6 total picks in the top 14 that could potentially use a their pick on a RB in round 1
CLE- 1st pick
JAX- 4th pick
NYJ- 6th pick
CAR- 8th pick
CLE- 12th pick
IND- 14th pick

Heres how I look at each team
CLE has much bigger needs to address than RB. Crowell did a very decent job almost rushing for 1,000 yards 7TDs and avg 4.8 yards per carry. Though the could use their 12th pick

JAX- I'd be very surprised if Dalvin went before Fournette (although I believe he should). I don't think JAX takes him as this pick will probably be too early in the draft. However JAX already has a bigger back in Yeldon so it wouldnt make much sense to pair Yeldon up with Fournette. Adding Dalvin over Fournette would give them a much different type of back

NYJ- I don't see the Jets taking a RB with this pick. Depending on who is left on the board they could try and address their QB issues again (although CLE, SF, CHI may take anyone worthy before the Jets pick). If Fournette is still on the board I again think he could here over Dalvin

CAR- This is the first pick in the draft that could very likely take Dalvin. They don't have a ton of needs but their aging RB is one.

IND- They could go LB here as their unit is aging or just not very good, although if Dalvin is still available here I can't see him getting past this pick. They also have an aging RB situation with Gore although he still keeps chugging along year after year.

My projection is he ends up in Carolina. But if he somehow gets past the 8th pick I'd be willing to bet that another team trades up to select him either before CLE pick at 12 and/or IND pick at 14

AD, Charles and Bell: All different running styles, hard to compare...But all elite no doubt!!!!
Adrian is older now. Charles was explosive but he was never (IMO) that dominant where we can keep throwing his name up. I'd rather have CJ2k than Charles and his run of 3 great seasons and a few normal years. As far as Bell his style is very much his own. I do think he can potentially be best RB. I say this if the stars align and our #4 goes to a team with a pulse. He will be an annual top 5 back. He's one of the best RB's I've seen in the past 20 years in CFB. I'm putting his 3 year run near the Peterson, Bush, Tomlinson, and many more. Guys that just could hit a home run on 3rd and 22. I truly believe if we had won that clemson game he would've went to NYC for the Heisman ceremony. He had Boulware and those guys looking like they were in high school.

Dalvin has proven he can produce behind a junk O Line. He will do great wherever he goes IMO. He's more of a versatile back than Fournette.

Ok im homer im a Chiefs fan so i watched alot of Charles but CJ2k one hit wonder.
Just check the highlights KC oline is and has always been mediocre just like ours for Dalvin but you dont avg almost 6 ypc and not be dominant. He is that home run threat that dalvin was for us. (when healthy)

My expectations for Dalvin is threw the roof.

Andrew Luck isn't blocking for Dalvin, and the Colts OL is awful. That would be a terrible landing spot IMO, that line is terrible and the leadership seems to have no interest in improving it

I don't think it matters what team he goes to. I think he excels anywhere he lands.

I disagree, he is talented but he'll need some things to go his way. In college he could get some weeks of down contact because of that talent disparity. Plus, his blocking is not very good so a lot of his potential 3rd down production is affected by the system and style he ends up at.

"The leadership seems to have no interest in improving it"- couldn't disagree more on this point. They just used 4 draft picks on the OL alone in last years draft, includzing their 1st round pick on the #1 rated Center. Secondly they'll have a new GM with a fresh mind in developing this team.
The OL may not be great at the moment but to say they have had no interest in improving it is from from the truth.

Also for as bad as an OL you say they have, they just had a 33 year old rush for 1000+yards.
Dalvin is exactly the type of player Luck needs in that offense and and Luck is exactly what Dalvin needs in a team with a proven passing game.

FYI most teams in position in drafting a player of Dalvins caliber are going to have issues/holes... that's why their drafting at the front.

The Colts may not be the perfect team, but their a whole lot better option than CLE, JAX, and NYJ

Not crazy. DCs balance is unreal. You may be right on vision but I was by no way saying he is better overall but i guess I should have clarified as to coming out of college. Out of college I think his upside is of equal comparison or higher than JC. I do believe where he lands and style of offense plays a role in that. Excited to see where he lands though.

The only way I am taking a RB in the first round (especially early in the 1st round), is if I have no other glaring weaknesses. Dallas taking Elliot last year was fine, because I think most people felt Dallas was a good team, and was only drafting high because of injuries. The Colts are not in that situation. They have the 30th ranked defense, their 0-line is average at best. Like you said, they just got 1000 yards out of a 33 year old RB, so why not address the RB position later and do something about the defense or o-line? They didn't miss the playoffs due to a lack of a running game, and adding a RB isn't going to do anything to address the actual areas they need major improvement.
