He got fired by ESPN and just recently got hired by SiriusXM College Football Ch 84 JUST in time for it to be bought and turned into ESPNU Radio later the same week.

Lol, I guess we'll see if they hate him enough to refire him.

Yeah, 84 has always been ESPNU/SEC Network to me. Sucks, I really enjoyed the brief idea of having a national collegiate scope, but after 2 days, you realize it's just recycled ESPN/SEC crap.

But also, saw that DK is with Fox Sports now with Les Miles and Mark Helfrich. Betting that pays enough for him to not care about SiriusXM.

I just saw he started with XM, hadn't heard that the channel was purchased by ESPN. Hopefully XM salary was higher than his old ESN salary, that would be amusing.

The switch to ESPNU Radio happens either the end of this week or start of next.

They did say no programming changes will happen immediately. So it will just be a logo change to start but ESPN will now be running it.

I'm reasonably certain that Danny knows he can relocate his family where ever and whenever he wishes. I personally do not care if he comes, stays, lays, or prays. Whatever happens...

He moved for his job to a high tax state and then they dumped him. If it was another state I'd feel the same. I like Connecticut to visit but I'd faint at the taxes.

I don't listen to it an extensive amount, but I'm disappointed in this. I liked 84 how it was. I actually enjoyed the morning show, Greg McElroy kind of grew on me. And I'm a big Mark Packer fan. I liked hearing from the mix of guys that would cohost during the week like Neuheisel, even Toretta.

Packer would actually be a great add for the ACC Network in a Feinbaum role. He's very good, he went to Clemson, did the radio show in Charlotte while I was there. I think he's a real pro, and would be a great personality fit for the ACC Network.

I agree with you about Packer.

And I honestly didn't feel much SEC bias on 84 even with some homers like McElroy. Certainly nowhere near what BSPiN usually puts out. Other than Lithium I doubt there was a channel on SiriusXM I listened to more than 84. So hopefully they continue to leave it mostly alone.
