Darwin Award winner for 9/4/17.....

Either you... or possibly me.... doesn't understand the concept of Darwin Awards.

I never knew suicide would apply.

Probably or at least maybe wasn't a suicide. Allegedly they've been having problems with people trying to get coals out while the effigies are still burning. That's why they had two levels of security to start with.

That guy was either suicidal or delusional. No one in their right mind would think that running full speed into a massive fire is something you can survive.

You have way too much faith in humanity. People do incredibly stupid things all the time. Like the guy who boiled himself alive jumping into a hot spring in Yellowstone to rescue a dog or the 25 yo recently who electrocuted himself going into knee deep water with live electrical wires in Houston to rescue a dog or the guy who drowned trying to rescue a dog from an aqueduct overflowing with rushing water in California or the old man who fell into an icy pond in Alaska trying to rescue his dog or the guy in Chicago who rushed back into a burning building to save his dog.... Actually...lots of this seem dog related, so maybe the Burning Man dude THOUGHT he was rescuing a dog from the fire.
