On the beach side of the bridges, near Ocean Walk. Seafood. Four kids, wife and me. What ya got?

Drive south. Turn right on Dunlawton. Cross the bridge. Aunt catfish is on the left. also don't miss out on Cuban crafters they roll some really good cigars for like $5 each. If they were name brand they would be 15 or 20 dollar cigars.

Aunt catfish looks good. We'll check it out tomorrow.

Couple of places I have enjoyed thru the years; one is called Our Deck Down Under, it is on the intercostal below the Port Orange bridge (if you are at the beach there is an access road before you get on the bridge, there are a couple of little restaurants down by the water). The other is called Boondocks, also on the beach side of the intercostal. A couple blocks south of the Port Orange bridge. Neither are fancy, both are pretty good.

Thank me later
Snack Jacks the one up in Flagler right on the ocean? If so, loved that place.

Yes.

It is nothing short of a home run.

Down the Hatch is awesome as well... they are both on the water. Snack Jacks/High tides is overlooking the beach, and down the hatch is on the river. Going to Down the Hatch requires a little nicer attire than snack jacks

a little further up on A1A, towards ormond beach, is Riptides which has a raw bar and good happy hour prices and Stonewood which has nicer decor.

Bubba Gump is solid but very touristy if that's what you want...
Living in the land owned by Landry's, Inc. Bubba Gump is one of the worst of its mediocre portfolio of restaurants. I'm constantly amazed on the blue hairs and mid-westerns that wait in line at the one in NOLA. Seriously, you are in one of the best restaurant cities in the world and you wait in line for Tilman Fertitta's frozen crap fish from China.

This. Aunt Catfish is a tourist trap like Inlet Harbor. DJs Deck, Deck Down Under, and Boondocks are all good in that area.

I heard this place is good but it looks pretty expensive.

Not crazy expensive, but probably a bit much with 4 kids in tow. Leave them in the car like Monte Grow did at the strip club. 😀

Best spot is a BBQ place on the corner opposite the Hilton. Very good.

Hog Heaven? That place has been there forever. I've had it a few times & it is pretty good.

Have you never had sailcat?

Are you telling me there is no Sonny's there?
Not on the beach. We had to settle for Ruby Tuesday's...

LOL, I thought the actual Landry's restaurants and the Rainforest Cafe were 1A and 1B for the two worst chains in their portfolio. When they still owned it, Joe's Crab Shack was 1C.

Saltgrass definitely changed after they bought it. It didn't get horrible but it wasn't the same.

Aunt Catfish is just the name of the restaurant... They have a full menu of seafood, steaks, etc. I live in the Daytona area and it's still the best restaurant mentioned in this thread. (excluding the ones in Ormond/Flagler I haven't been to, so can't comment)

I looked at the menu and it looked damn good. If I had seen the post before we decided on a different place we would have gone for sure...

I've only been to Lulu's there a few times while passing through. Enjoy decent food and sit in the courtyard.

I looked on their website to see if it mentioned how long they'd been there, but didn't see anything. I'm almost certain that it was there when I'd go there in high school/college (late 70s, early 80s), and I'm fairly sure I remember it even further back, when my parents would take us to Daytona in the early/mid 70s.

Forget the tourist crap. Go to the original Houligan's on the corner of Granada and Clyde Morris in OB for the best wings you will ever eat.
