Lets go back to Friday when our ladies softball team was playing LSU for best of 3 series to see who moves on to the Womens world series. Of course we start with our All-American pitcher J. Burroughs and there is no other way to put it except she completely DOMINATED the LSU batters and we won 5-1. A lot of the conversation was would Coach A come back with the pitcher that dominated LSU the day before or give the opportunity to King which in her own right is a good pitcher just NOWHERE near our ace in Burroughs. Coaches decision was to go with King instead of the hot hand to make a long story short it turned into a pitchers duel as King got out of numerous tough situations with bases loaded and a few times with 2 runners on but they never scored more than 1 run like I said a pitchers duel. LSU pitcher Walljaster pitched a gem of a game giving up her 1st single in the 7th inning. Now to the main part of my post...who do you think the LSU Coach turned right around and started on the mound today, you guessed right Walljaster now if only Coach A would have done the same and turned right back around with the hot hand in Burroughs instead of King maybe we are packing bags and getting ready to head to the WCWS. Instead of putting all the pressure on Burroughs well......lets just hope she can come through like the All-American she is.
