Deep Impact-- did you like this movie?

This movie has aged well IMO, and I still enjoy it. I think it came out close to the time Armageddon came out and the latter movie got all the rage. They had a similar theme to each other obviously. IMO, DI is better. Its about the story development of the individuals. Armageddon was in good in the sense of today's "Superhero infatuation". I'm sure some (most?) will disagree......

Anyway, what did you think of Deep Impact?

Both movies were fine. Armageddon for the action crowd, DI for the sci fi or slightly more literary crowd.

DI was the "better" movie, but Armageddon is my all time favorite popcorn fun flick...it's hilarious if you take it for what it's worth. Rockhound, for example, is a hoot!

Different Deep Impact, but yes, I remember it being a real good movie, I owned the DVD. Haven't seen years, but with all the hurricanes going on, might be a good time to watch.

Still, though, Armageddon is such a fun movie, though. I actually watch it ever.single.christmas.eve since it's release on VHS > DVD > BluRay.

Honestly had forgotten about Deep Impact. Armageddon was a much more enjoyable movie in my opinion. Nothing beats the slow motion walk with the whole crew all together with the sun coming up behind them. That scene has showed up in a million other movies since.

Did you mean babe? If so, then I concur.........there's something sexy about her.

The first half isn't bad, but I can't make it through the second half.........I understand it's a movie and I should suspend disbelief, but I just can't do it; so much of the second half is infeasible from a scientific standpoint.

I was younger when both came out, so while I liked Deep Impact at the time, Armageddon was more entertaining.

I can't even watch Armageddon anymore, but I still watch Deep Impact from time to time. It's not fun subject matter, but they handled it well. Much more substance to the film overall.
