So far looking very similar to last year scheme wise. Vanilla 4-2-5. Little movement pre-snap. Obvious blitzes. Little complexity.
Is it time to be saving looks for better teams? USF isn't an FCS team. They have Florida athletes. They have been in the red-zone twice now. I think it's safe to start releasing the hounds, if we have that capacity.
Yes I agree they look better. They are tackling much better so far. They aren't grossly confused in the secondary. The DEs are worlds better. All that stuff will equal a better defense this year, but the attacking aggressive defense of Mickey Andrews or 2013 doesn't look present.
