Never ceases to amaze me the number of bandwagon fans I see out there. From the Facebook fans that tout "So happy <blank team> is finally getting the pub they deserve!!!" after having never posted about <blank team> ever, to the random vehicle stickers after <blank team> (for this exercise, Auburn, Oregon, Ohio State, Red Sox) jumps to some level of relevance. I know it shouldn't, but it completely rubs me the wrong way, definitely makes me chuckle.

In the spirit of FMFFM week, what are the most obnoxious/irrational/delusional "fans" out there?

I've got Miami of FL, SEC West, "big, historical four Major teams" (Lakers, Yankees, Cowboys, Bruins, etc., Oregon, uf. No real order, just fans you can't really have a solid sports discussion with.

Chicago Bears. When they traded for Cutler, all I heard was he was easily a top 5 QB and likely top 3.

If you watched ESPN's promotion of tonight's WC game, you'd think the Yankees already won. They never show the Astros...joke

Oregon. Out here on the west coast I'm surrounded by them. I've found them worse than UF or UM fans and their team has yet to win a damned thing. Doesn't stop them from running their mouths 24/7 though. You'd think they had a dozen rings so far instead of a dozen chokes.

Yankee fans can be a tad bit obnoxious, but most of the fans that I have dealt with, and there are a ton of them up here, are far from delusional. They are knowledgeable and they know the game.

Now, the Montreal Fighting Cowboys of the NHL are completely delusional, living in the past and they can't complete a sentence without uttering Dryden, heh or Lafleur, heh or Beliveau, heh or Richard, heh.

LMAO that you Bruins in same sentence as Lakers, Yankees, Cowboys...

LMFAO!

Because one of these is not at all like the other.

Plus I was drunk last night when I typed that, and apparently prone to laughter moreso than usual.

The point behind the Bruins inclusion is that they won 2 cups in a 5 year span and all of a sudden we're supposed to believe they've been relevant for the past 20 years. They're in some major trouble still with aging players making too much money so we'll see those fans shut up pretty soon I'm hoping.

Also have a bunch of Mass transplants in my neighborhood so it's just constant drunken "Pats/Bruins/Celtics are the blue bloods" rambling.

Georgia fans. All talk and they haven't done much of anything at all in 35 years.

and their 3 best years - 80, 81, and 82 - they didn't play Bama.

after that, they have 2 conference champions under Richt.

that's it.

South Carolina, Clemson, UGA, UF, Ohio State, FSU, Miami (all 17 of them) just to name a few.

Just 1 Stanley Cup, and Bruin fans are the most tame of any team up here. How many fans are you talking about? 2, 3, 4?
