Disney's Superbowl Ad

Disney is a bunch of money grubbing NY sharks purporting to be “family friendly.” Would sell their own Mothers if they could make $1 from it. Add their radically woke agendas — i.e., children’s cartoons about reparations and children’s animations promoting LGBTQ, among other things — and I am sure Walt is rolling in his grave.

Great commercial. Great place to visit if you can afford it. The park is too expensive which prices out a lot of families that Disney supposedly cares about.

I find the adults that are overly into Disney extremely odd and that it’s more for them than their kids.

Grow up Peter Pan.

Jews, African Americans and gays. You hit the trifecta! Nothing better than winning the bigot lottery.

What did everyone think??

Did you like it? How did you view the content?
I used to love Disney World. My family and I would go there every year for a family vacation. I actually found this ad to be pretty good. The bad thing about the ad is that it didn't show any of the liberal/woke views that they have been pushing over the past few years. I totally agree with @FisherWilcoxTaggart Survivor . I don't believe Walt Disney would be pleased at all with what Disney World has become, or anything else that is associated with Disney for that matter.

Wow. To think you accused me of pushing my "ultra-extreme political views" on the other site. What? You didn't think I would hear how you were throwing me under the bus?

Was your goal with this post to get me to warn or ban you so you could go over there and whine about how I was treating you unfairly? No need to wait on me. Just go ahead and leave.

On another note, Disney is and was an international company whose cartoons are translated into every language under the sun, and shown all over.

In fact, I always recommend that people buy the comic books when they're learning a foreign language. It's simple and it's correct in the language, thus a good learning tool.

They never would be where they are today, if they had not gone to international markets.

The original questions were about the Disney AD.

I didn't ask if Walt would be pleased, nor about Disney's pricing at Disneyworld.

I was thinking that there were a lot of production costs in their three ads.
Great ad. As the father of a 7 year old I will be depositing a good amount of money in Orlando next February.

Just for the record, IMO, Disney has never attempted to control the minds of kids.

They have always provided good stories and fairy tales. We were all raised on Disney.

And, one of the best things about them? The language that is used in their movies, as in proper usage of the language, in whatever language, has always been perfect. No grammatical mistakes, very little slang, etc.

The one thing that they did that ticked of my husband and me, was to get the Mikey Mouse extension law passed.

Did Disney World have Mickey Mouse phones?

I went when I was 6 around 1990 and remembered them.

Just out of curiosity, what is this "liberal/woke agenda" that you speak about?

I know what some news sources report and what our governor has done, but I have yet to see the harm that we are doing to young children. Like it or not, everything that has been talked about has been in existence for a very long time. It's part of the human condition.

What’s your favorite Disney movie?

Wow. I love so many of them. But, i guess, in recent years, as far as animation, it is Aladin, Lion King and Frozen. Then, of course I love all the Star Wars movies, and syfy.

Cowards are gonna coward. You won’t be hearing from Johnnie as he has been exposed (again) for what he is. Looking forward to his Rivals subscription running out.

This board is free, so a subscription is not needed. He is a mod so he could drop the banhammer whether Johnnie has a subscription or not. And from the post above it sounds like he did banish him.

I don’t think DFS drops the ban hammer.
The Chief is correct in this case.

The Fox Entertainment Television brainwashing is strong with this one.

Despite your good intentions, you had to know who that would bring running to air their cartoonish Disney grievances and outrage… I could even faintly hear the approaching banjos over the sheep bleating.
And they didn’t disappoint.

Thank God none of those scary alternative people with their dark skin and evil lifestyles whom the banjo strummers are so obsessively worried about work for Disney.
Imagine our children being groomed by all them Disney creepers.

You guys should be glad I am here. It’s otherwise a fairly inactive board that seems to be getting increasingly quiet. Hope not for the sake of Jerry and others.
No offense but you are close to the last person that Jerry needs to continue being both highly successful and highly respected.

I guess we’ll see how much “success” there really is in a near-dormant website. At least Jerry can count on the Whoopi Goldberg crowd to keep things rolling! Enjoy!!

Its Disney Springs now. It gets a facelift every ten to twenty years. And they shut down Pleasure Island. Many good times there.

Was there last spring. Nice place to spend a few hours. Live bands and plenty of activities for the kids. Back in the day Pleasure Island was a fun night out. I just remember the cover charge being something stupid like $25+ to be allowed in to spend even more money. The mouse has it all figured out.

Well you can thank Sonny Bono for that. He introduced the bill that extended Mickey's life.
