Do you all like parades?

Not the small local ones, no. I've done the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade twice. I enjoy that one. Still, it starts to drag on after a while.

I like Mardi Gras parades, and I like the Gasparilla parade. Basically any parade where the custom is beads and booze.

I was getting ready to say the same thing. The only exceptions I can think of to that is I also enjoy the Rose Bowl parade, the St Patrick’s Day in Savannah and some of the FantasyFest/Goombay parades in Key West.

I love a parade,the tramping of feet,
I love every beat I hear of a drum.
I love a parade, when I hear a band
I just want to stand and cheer as they come.
That rat-a tat-tat, the blare of a horn.
That rat-a tat-tat, a bright uniform;
The sight of a drill will give me a thrill,
I thrill at the skill of everything military.
I love a parade, a handful of vets,
A line of cadets or any brigade,
For I love a parade.

Never been to Mardi Gras, might like the atmosphere.

Besides that, nope. Never cared for them. Just seem stupid. If you want to wave at people, wave while driving around in your own car. Might reduce road rage if everyone smiled and waved at each other.

The motorcycle club I’m in has been asked to be in the Tallahassee Veteran’s Day Parade the past few years. We consider it an honor.

I’m in NOLA all the time. There is a parade there everyday ending in Y. Heck, for a $100 permit fee you can make your own second line with police escort.

I've been in way more than I've watched Most of the ones in small towns have more participants than spectators. Imo

I do remember enjoying some at Disney.

Absolutely not. Had to march in way too many of them. They are a pain in the rear.

The Gasparilla parades were the worst. Those drunken pirate back then would fire off those damn pistols almost right next to you as they meandered through the band often groping the female members esp the majorettes.

The day parade was bad enough, but the night parade outdid that. It was longer and then it was a mandate you had to be at school the next day despite getting back home at 2 and 3 AM.

I'm down for maybe a Mardi Gras parade but that's about it. Otherwise I want to be nowhere near them.

I had forgotten about being in JRotc and doing the Memorial day parade marching. Wool Dress Greens that felt like you were wearing a blanket in what always seemed to be the hottest day in May of record. The only amount of pleasure derived is watching the one kid each year who didn't listen to the "DO NO LOCK YOUR KNEES" speech.

Even the Christmas parade had what seemed like sweltering temps in those unis.

I thought it was a great show. I am happy they were able to wrap it up with the 5 episodes in the last season rather than HBO just completely leaving us.

Treme has mostly rebuilt. Highly recommend Willie Mae’s or Dooky Chase’s place for fried chicken
