The commentators didn't seem to realize that we purposefully will have Aguayo leave the kickoffs just short of the goaline so our return team can tackle them short of the 25. Takes a lot of skill to be able to accurately kick it short and at an angle, but when we're doing it accurately, it gives us a great advantage in the field position battle. But it's also a little risky because of the possibility of kicking it out of bounds.
I don't recall us doing this nearly as much with Hopkins but that could be bad memory or it could just be the rule change of touchbacks going to the 25, but this seems to be as important of a strategy for Jimbo as deferring to the second half now.
