Eric Junior Manuel?

Do you guys think Manuel is pretty much relegated to being a career backup at this point or do you think he'll get another chance to be a starter? I am pulling for him. But it was perplexing for me seeing as he wasn't playing over a guy like Tyrod Taylor.
