ESPN Laying off up to 350 workers

I Who ya got?

Any remaining copy-editors and fact-checkers.

We'll still get awesome journalism from Brett McMurphy, fascinating Sports Science segments, SEC documentaries, and shilling for Daily Fantasy.

Probably be easier to list who is NOT going to be laid off:

SEC fans
SEC Hosts
FSU contingent of false fact checkers and police report analysts
....

I actually enjoy the sports science segments.

We can only hope (I assume that's Heather Dinich). That woman has the football knowledge of a flea and slurs through her lipse worse than Lou Holtz without denture cream and for an "ACC" expert she sure loves to slurp down on the SEC almost as much as Small Slimebaum.

I actually enjoy the sports science segments.

I guess I don't find them informative. It seems like their lab tests are silly and don't control for anything. It really feels like another segment designed to in-house Sports Center content and save money by not actually reporting. I feel the same about PTI segments, First Take segments, and PR puff pieces.

Say what you want about Heather, she was the only one on that stupid ass championship countdown show that had Clemson in the 4 and Alabama out of it. All the other SEC jock sniffers made up excuses as to why Alabama deserved one of the 4 top spots. One guy actually said "if Alabama doesn't turn the ball over 5 times they win that game." Genius.
Today I had that four letter word on for a few minutes but had to turn it off after listening to some other brilliant anal-yst explain why Cook isn't in the same league as Fournette and that we should just give him the Heisman now.

Considering they are needing to cut $350 million from their budget the next 2 years they might need to get rid of everyone.

Yeah, but then she wrote an article that had Ole Miss and UGA on the bubble for the playoffs.

What this really means is that ESPN and other broadcasting entities have probably maxed out as far as the amount they can afford to pay for rights fees to the NFL, NBA, MLB, and college football/basketball. They've discovered that they can't recoup those fees from ad revenue or what they charge to cable/satellite services (because of the bad PR that results every time there's a dispute between content providers and distributors), so the next course of action is to reduce payroll; we'll see whether CBS, NBC, and Fox follow suit within their sports departments.....

Hopefully they add Jason Sehorn to the list. When discussing Dabo's comments about Cook being the best back his comments were "No way!! Not even close!!" Apparently he's not familiar with statistics.

Of course he isn't. It is appalling what these guys base their opinions on. Usually no facts it appears. It is very close Sehorn. Dumba**.

I think * should be let go.......

I wonder if he's like Howard Stern, and people that 'hate' him listen to him longer and more often than the people that like him.
My FIL is a radio producer for ESPN in Huntsville. He said Finebaum's ratings are awesome. I'm sure he loves the free advertising he gets on sites like this...

Everyone should watch his show at least once. A part of me wants to think it is made up but your best actors could not pull off the level of ignorance spewed on what little I have seen of that show. The callers will start yelling and it is obvious they are taking themselves and their positions very seriously on the absolute dumbest of topics. It reminds me of the excerpts you used to see from the Jerry Springer shows.

I'm sure he does, I've never listened to him or his show. He's still an asshat. After all the negative things he has said over the last two years about FSU, he could fall off the face of the earth and I wouldn't care.

ESPN is only good for live sports and the Lebetard show. Sucks other than that, and I really don't like that they switch Dan's time to 10 am. It was the perfect drive time show.
