Question for anyone in the know...Would any of the highways going south be closed off if an evacuation is ordered? I am hoping to get up to the game from Orlando and I'm worried about I-75 South being closed off on Saturday after the game. Is this something that can happen?

I’ve never seen Florida do this though it would make a lot of sense

There is another thread from someone else that is also
driving from Orlando. Their only concern is finding fuel
to drive home. Right now fuel supply doesn't seem like
a problem.

If the State orders contraflow on a major interstate or roadway they are not going to do it 3 days before a land falling hurricane. The State of Florida is not going to do this either this Saturday or Sunday.

Latest projection has it staying off the coast and going north, being just offshore along the Jax coast on Wednesday. I could see 95 going contra sometime on Sunday, and maybe even the Florida Turnpike.

Storm or no storm I generally get off I-75 to US 19/27 as soon as possible either on 484 through Dunnellon or Alternative US 27 from Ocala.

As a bonus Ralph's Burger House in Chiefland is my kind of food stop.
