Word on the street is that facebook is getting into the sports realm with 360 degree filming to watch through the headset as if you are at the game. Everything from PPV to concerts to the World Series. Initial price point should be around $1,500 bones but that will come down. Hope our upgrades are worth it and we can push a communal aspect for games because it's going to kill attendance.
 
You can already watch the game better from home. I certainly wouldn't drop the money to sit at home and watch the game from way back in the seats. You go to the game for other reasons, not for the view.

The Rift won't be $1500, that's just a speculated ideal price for your rig to be able to run the specs. The headset itself will be much cheaper.
 
Related, but not safe for work...seems virtual aint so bad
 
Exactly, I can already watch the game better from my living room, with alcohol too. There's just a different feeling you get at the games and you can't tailgate from home.
