I know someone will say it's not real Chinese food, but anyway, from the standard American Chinese food restaurants, what is your favorite dish?

I have to go with General Tso's chicken. That is some good stuff.

Amongst the "American Chinese" food, it's probably either sweet and sour pork or crab rangoon both of which are ridiculously unhealthy. So I usually order beef and broccoli or chicken chow mein minus the fried noodles.

Cashew chicken, kung pow chicken, General's chicken, Mongolian beef, beef and broccoli, sweet n sour... Mmmmmm

Pork Lo Mein, Egg Foo Young, Orange Chicken, Egg Rolls, Krab Rangoon, Wonton and Egg Drop Soup mixed. Damn, now i is hungry.

All from Tasty China in Marietta, GA off of the bottom 120 loop where Peter Chang once worked and then moved on and grew his empire.

Braised fish in chili oil

Dan Dan Noodles with Pork

Moo goo gai pan, Salt and pepper calamari, beast with broccoli (I'm never really sure it's beef). If I get a noodle dish I thpicLly get pork lo mein with no veggies made spicy, or chow fun.

Appetizers: shumai, steamed pork dumplings, crab Rangoon, so air ribs, or simply fried chicken wings. They can fry the hell out of a chicken wing. In fact if I'm in the mood for chicken wings I iften order them from Chinese delivery and just toss them with wink sauce at home. They are typically VERY cheap on the Chinese minus and better than what you'd get from most amari an sports bars.

Can't find them on menus in Atlanta area for some reason, but growing up in NY and S. Florida, my favorite thing to order in Chinese restaurants was spare ribs and pork fried rice. Loved those bright red lacquered ribs.

Chicken with black bean sauce. The local place up here has a dish called princess steak kew that is damn good and their hot n sour soup seems to be better than most. Steamed dumplings are by far my favorite appetizer.

I love fried rice and lo mein, but rarely eat it because of the caloric content. When I go to Panda Express I get brown rice and a double of teryaki chicken or a single + a beef dish. It's one of the best healthy fast food options.

I used to love Mongolian beef with the crispy rice noodles and green onions. For some reason the chines places around here don't make it that way. I usually end up getting a happy family or seafood delight.

I've given this more thought. The Chinese place we go to has a fabulous roasted duck. That's probably my favorite...

The man asked for one dish skipjack. And if you like wonton and egg drop soup mixed better than the hot and sour soup you ought to be shot...

For a long time it was General Tso or Sesame Chicken. I've been on an Orange Chicken run lately.

Chinese takeout place? Singapore mei fun, but they usually don't have it for lunch so I get sesame chicken.

Spare ribs. That radiating sweet sauce and red dye gets me. And I can kill the various steamed things at dim sum

Honey Chicken, fried rice and a cpl spring rolls for me.

Chicken fried rice - no onions. Pretty much the only thing I order when we do Chinese food. Not that I don't like other dishes, I just like this more.

On a very rare occasion, I'll get Shrimp Egg Foo Young (basically an omelet with shrimp and sprouts and stuff in it) - I like it a LOT, but only get a craving for it maybe once or twice a year.

There's actually a good Chinese restaurant here in Land O Lakes. My favorite are their spring rolls, chicken lo mein noodles, roast pork with broccoli and honey chicken.

General Tso's chicken is my fav, but normally opt for somewhat healthier option of Kung Pao.

Mine are chicken/broccoli or beef/broccoli with a curry sauce. Always $2 extra meat added.
Sometimes I'll have the chicken/broccoli combo steamed with curry sauce on the side for dipping. Occasionally an egg drop soup too.

Pork Soup dumplings.

You're cheating by using an actual Chinese dish not "Chinese American".

I love xbl as well and make my own at home periodically. I've found that you can't cheat and use the premade dumpling wrappers as they're too thin and half will burst. You have to make your own xbl skins if you don't want a mess.

Btw, best I've had anywhere is at Longs Noodle House in Vancouver. Absolutely amazing (along with the potted drunken chicken) and what triggered my wife and I to start making our own xbl.
