For just the second time this season, the Florida State football team is playing a ranked opponent Saturday night.
The fourth-ranked Seminoles (6-0, 4-0 in ACC) will host No. 16 Duke (5-1, 2-0) tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Doak Campbell Stadium (ABC). For the Seminoles, it's a chance to remain unbeaten against the Blue Devils all-time. FSU is 19-0 against Duke, with two more wins vacated due to NCAA violations. The Seminoles are 14-point home favorites over the Blue Devils with the over/under betting line at 49.
FSU is expected to get healthier for this week's ranked matchup as wide receiver Johnny Wilson is expected to return tonight after missing last week's game, ESPN's Pete Thamel reported this morning. That aligns with what we saw this week where Wilson practiced extensively and made quite a few plays in practice. Additionally, FSU will look to get offensive tackle Bless Harris back this week after he missed the last two games due to injury.
On the Duke front, it sounds less likely that quarterback Riley Leonard will return tonight. He's three weeks removed from a high ankle sprain and Thamel reported this morning that Leonard will be a "true game-time decision." Thamel added that Leonard will attempt to warm up before the FSU game, but said he's considered unlikely to play.
We'll have updates on all that and much more from Doak Campbell Stadium starting around 5:30 p.m. when the press box opens. We'll also have updates once the game begins.
