Well folks it finally happened. I've been threatening to do so for years and a couple weeks ago we finally closed on a house in Florida. The catch is we can't move in yet until sometime next year after our youngest takes off to college. That's where the power of the Locker Room comes in. I need to find a renter for the next year or so. Here are the details:

Home is in Seminole (not Seminole Heights thankfully)
1 mile from Indian Shores Beach, 45 minutes to TPA and 30 minutes to downtown St. Pete
4 bedroom/2 bath
1905 square feet
Saltwater, screened in pool
Flexible lease terms anywhere from 7-12 months
$2700

Email me at screen name at the G mail and I can send you the listing if you or anyone in your network is interested. I appreciate any referrals from the group.

We are pumped that the plan is starting to take shape and by this time next year I should have shoveling snow in my rear view mirror.

Good choice. My sister lived there for years, I'm a big believer in elevation Seminole comes up off the bay on a bit of a ridge.

What was the thinking behind buying now and needing a renter? Renters suck and even good ones don't take care of a home the way owners do.

We've been shopping for a while and nothing ever came up that checked just about all of our boxes. When this one did we didn't want to pass it up. I don't want to be a landlord for long but I would prefer someone else pay for it until we move.

You want to get our of the Boulder area to move to Florida?

Why may I ask?
We are terrible Coloradans. Don't hunt/fish/camp/hike/bike/ski/snowboard. And we hate being cold.
We want to be by the water where it's warm all year. It's been our plan for many years, it's just crazy that it's almost time to execute it. We are going to keep our home in Boulder County for a while as our daughter will likely live there while she finishes school.

That makes sense. Gratz and good luck on the move.
