So about 3-4 months ago I decided I had had enough of the TC. Obviously it was no big deal during the offseason but I wondered how I would handle things once the season got rolling. I must say, so far this is one of the most enjoyable seasons I have had in years!!!

I'm thinking about dropping myself. I would miss some of the articles, but I find equally as good ones for free through my facebook feed.

You have me thinking now.

First time since the site went premium that I haven't rolled my subscription over. I didn't really plan it, just thought I would give it a shot and see if I missed it. Now that the season has started I am sort of missing the TC, warts and all. The free boards are just not drawing much traffic.

The free articles that litter Facebook are every bit as informative, if not more. I don't mess around with any message board now except this one. I just don't have time to share my opinion with 3000 other people that just want to argue with you no matter what stance you take. Also not missing the "sky is falling/fire everyone" type threads that pop up every time we score less than 70 and the D gives up more that 40 total yards.

I love to argue.

Your opinion is wrong.

I let my membership expire too. I don't miss the TC but I do miss reading the premium content. Probably won't renew but I am considering it...

I've been thinking about this…so help me out please. I've been thinking of not renewing my annual subscription but wasn't sure what boards I could still view if I wasn't paying for the premium stuff?

I don't follow the TC or the TCC that much anymore so I'm finding it hard to justify the annual cost, not to mention I'm not posting like I was back in the day. 1/2 the "breaking texts" are usually delayed for some odd reason or the game day texts, case in point this past Friday; I get a text from Warchant. FSU holds a 7-0 lead going into the 4th quarter. As I'm leaving the arena from work, I'm like cool I'll get to see the 4th quarter. I get to the bar which is no more than 2 min walk from arena. I sit down look up on the screen and the game is over…I'm like well that sucked!

It's crap like that I'm getting fed up with. For the most part, I usually hear about FSU via another outlet before I hear the "insiders". The whole recruiting "tips/nuggets" well that's a whole other subject as well as all the cool-aide they feed us over the summer.

So If I was to stop my annual subscription can I still see LR threads and still be able to post?

Just not into it like I used to be…I guess life's priorities have changed somewhat not to mention what the OP said there's usually enough info out there to suffice.

Thanks in advance...

I mean, if you want, we can start a few threads in the LR every weekend....

ESPN has an SEC bias!
If we go undefeated we will be left out!
What time is the next game?

Yes. You get access to the LR, FSU Sports, Smack and Academic boards. There might be a few other free ones.

Speaking of the TC, there was a post a while back about sad news about a former mod - who was that?

That was Eastside. I didn't know him, but seemed like a good dude from the boards.

I quit regularly posting on the TC way back in the JB/Rix days where it was just a toxic feud between the blind homers and the JB/Rix haters. I dip in there now and then, usually at the beginning of the season, but then get sick of it all fairly quickly. I now usually just go there to get more info on breaking news.

I did not renew either. I posted some on the TC but more often on the TCC and even more so on the baseball board during the season. When the season first started I was tempted to re up but did not. Not missing it all now. I am kinda bummed that the baseball board now requires a premium subscription to read or post and if I ever re up it will be for that board more than anything.

Honestly this site for years was so far beyond any other sites, but it has really changed in the last few years. Lots of very knowledgeable posters of the program and the sports have the left the boards because of being chastised by band geeks masquerading as experts. Like others have said premium content and insider knowledge is not much of either anymore. I don't really blame WC for that. I just think the way JF chooses to run his program he nor the program is not as open to any media source as BB was.

My favorite threads on the TC are "This is a trap game."

You're really missing out, if it wasn't for the TC I would have no idea that Trickett needs to be fired and we're going to lose 9 games this year.
