Foo Fighters on SNL

I tried watching about a year ago and the comedy was so pour it was unwatchable. I know SNL has a history of peaks and valleys over the years and will give it another look.
I hated the Foo Fighters for years because I hated Nirvana. After a bunch of years, I heard a block of songs on the radio including Monkey Wrench and There Goes My Hero and have loved them since.
I found out that their first album, that Dave Grohl made the album by himself, he wrote everything and played all the instruments, the guy has to be one of the most talented musicians out there.

I'm a big FF fan, but I think their best work is when Dave Grohl does all the parts himself. Very talented individual.
Yep. Try as it might, the current iteration will never be as funny as the early years. Maybe now that ole Stuart S. Is otherwise unoccupied he can try once more to actually be funny?

This is the Nirvana version of Marigold the only song written and performed by Dave while in the Band.
And then here you can see the finished product of the song performed by the Foo. Even in the unfinished Nirvana “extra” that was cut from the Album you can here the Foo in Dave’s piece.
Dave Grohl is ridiculous. Better bring some Red Bull with him to Rockville as Foo Fighters and QOTSA are both on the bill.
Oh and as a side note, if you haven’t already done so, you should check out all of Skin and Bones. I really love the versions of Big Me and My Hero in particular.
Yeah I’m going to be there at least two days (Sat and Sun). Not sure about Friday yet as I’m not a huge fan of that lineup but I haven’t seen Ozzie live yet and how much longer will he BE alive?
