No army does to well when it can't protect its flanks. I use this analogy because we got in trouble last year when we didn't set the edges of the defense. This is one of the reasons we should be very optimistic about the capability of the team this year, without talking about the defensive coordinator and his improvement or for the naysayers, lack of improvement. I expect, based off of the way his personnel performed at USCe and florida, that Lawing will not allow us to be easily outflanked allowing large chunks of yardage. Our strength on the line is up the middle, and that is where we need to force the ball to go.
You also have to be enthusiastic about a guy like Jalen tackling at the corner position. This will come in very handy against GT if they try to run his direction. As long as we're healthy this year, I don't expect that game to be difficult as long as we set the edge, they won't be able to move us inside consistently enough
