Haven't read all the details but I'm sure there are plenty of active military and Veterans that this applies to. Sounds very promising. Worth looking into.

I would love to say my GI Bill paid for my college. But since my job paid for it, I let the GI Bill pay for me to race motorcycles. With the new program, I could still be racing! SOB.
...... It seems from a few more things I've read that they will grandfather past veterans in. Not sure how far back they go.
Oh, tell me more.... Im already back in school, might be a consideration. Perhaps I should look into this deeper.
I have a buddy who is very smart, just hates school. He paid in and never touched his GIBill. I wish we could have transferred it to me, I might have learned how to fly helicopters.
Honestly wish I knew more. Pretty sure I read about dependents getting GI benefits as well.
This is the new GI Bill, around 2005 or so. You can give it to any immediate family member, wife and kids only; although grandkids may be included. You can split it etc. between kids. They came up with this plan in the middle of the hell that was Iraq pre-surge or so and used to keep people in. An amazing plan and you could select it even though you had been in the Army for 10 years or more. Typically you had to choose the GI Bill upon enlisting; wish I had done my homework because I would have done it in a second, just figured I had used my GI Bill and wasn't eligible. Heck I would spend a year in A-stan, Iraq, Syria right now or wherever for this plan for my kids.
