Anyone else in the Augusta area? I actually live in Columbia and make the drive every day.

I saw a white semi at the intersection by gate 1 this morning on my way in. It had a Seminole head (new logo) on the side of the cab and it put a smile on my face to start the day. Feels good to be back stateside again. Looking forward to catching a couple games this year!

Ft. Gordon 1966. Cold in February and hot as hell in June. Had an opportunity to attend the Masters and blew it off for a trip to North Augusta SC for beer (we were under 21 and beer was sold at 18). Yes, drunk and stupid before Vietnam where I found out what hot was. Loved the time in Georgia and have fond memories.

Was there in '65, fortunately only a few months. Winter, cold and dreary, glad to leave.

Not related to the thread but wanted to send you guys a salute for your service. Thank you.
I hit Fort Benning on Jan 2nd in 95', saw snow when I got there and was sweating in the shade 2 days later. Gotta love it.

I am in the Augusta area and work on post. Being that it is a military town its not too surprising that there are a good number of Noles around here. There's about 10 that work in my building. I make the trip to Tally 6-7 times a year. Hit me up if you want to go to a game.

I will. I see Nole plates all the time. Love it. Just got back from Japan. Not too many of us over there.

My wife is from Augusta, so we’re there a few times during the year. I really enjoy spending time there, but it would be a tough place to be an “outsider.”
