The No. 8 Florida State beach volleyball team travels to Baton Rouge, La., to play in the CCSA Tournament this weekend. The Seminoles earned the No. 2 seed for the tournament after finishing the regular season with a 23-10 record.
Florida State looks to claim its ninth CCSA championship since joining the conference in 2016. The Seminoles won seven straight titles from 2016-2022, and their eighth in 2024. The tournament is double elimination and will include No. 7 Texas, No. 11 LSU, and South Carolina.
The Seminoles will play No. 11 LSU in the first round. Florida State leads the all-time series with the Tigers 27-3 and won both previous meetings this season. The Tigers hold a 23-10 record in 2025. The pair of Parker Bracken and Gabi Bailey were awarded CCSA Co-Pair of the Year with Florida States’ Audrey Koenig and Alexis Durish. Florida State is 8-1 against LSU in the CCSA Tournament, with three of those victories coming in the CCSA championship match.
No. 7 Texas holds a season record of 24-9 and enter the weekend as the No. 1 seed. FSU and Texas split the season series 1-1, with the Longhorns winning the most previous matchup in Tallahassee. This marks Texas’ first appearance in the CCSA Tournament.
South Carolina completed the 2025 season with a 14-15 record. The Seminoles lead the all-time series with the Gamecocks 26-0. The Seminoles defeated the Gamecocks 3-0 in the CCSA championship match last season.
The Seminoles open play on Friday against LSU at noon ET. In round two, FSU will play either Texas or South Carolina at 4 p.m. or 6 p.m. The CCSA championship will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Live stats will be available on Seminoles.com.
