Some good news from the financial side of things in the athletic department today. According to documents obtained from an open records request, FSU came out ahead on this year's trip to California for the College Football Playoff.
That's an especially big deal because FSU took a hit on last year's trip. After losing about $500,000 on the trip to the BCS championship game at the end of the 2013 season, the playoff appearance netted them about $145,000.
Here's a quick story from Ira on how that happened. I'm sure a lot of you remember when the numbers came through last spring for the BCS game.
