Don't get me wrong, I still see plenty of super-attractive women when I am in Tallahassee.

But I think today's crop is not as strong as the ones we enjoyed in yesteryear. I attribute it to (a) the elevated academic standards governing admission; and (b) an increased "balance" of the male/female populations (i.e., no longer 2-to-1 or 3-to-1 chicks-to-guys, and simply fewer chicks, proportionally).

In the old days, EVERYONE got into FSU. This included smoking hot women who were dumber than stumps. Today, those beautiful/dumb chicks don't get in. They have been replaced -- at least to some degree -- by frumpier chicks with excellent academic credentials who are focused on getting real degrees, and not the joke Mrs. degrees. Smart and beautiful are not mutually exclusive, and, as noted at the outset, we still have plenty of smokers roaming the campus. I just don't see the DEPTH of pulchritude that we saw 10-20-30 years ago. Any thoughts on this?

You haven't been to Pots lately...graduated in 2012 and I miss the talent pool compared to the real world. Never have I seen so many good looking females in a concentrated area like I experienced in Tallahassee.

God Blessed FSU.

I think just as we have the sliding scale for GPA and ACT score we need to have the same for hotness and admissions.

As requirements to get into FSU get harder the likelihood that the beauty of the student population will drop is almost guaranteed.

Yes, thanks to those stupied 1980 jean shorts they're all wearing!

I think that there is more talent than ever before.

I think that our perception is polluted. Back in the day, there was no social media with just endless pictures of perfect women from all over the country. We didn't have filters on photos, nor 20 opportunities to take the same photo to get it just right.

My sister was a Zeta back in the early 90s. I remember them as way better looking than when I look at photos now.

In general, I also feel that people are better looking in person...and back in the day, we remember what people look like, and now we just have endless amounts of photos. I can distinctly remember doing rank'ems a couple years ago and having photos of Golden girls in there that looked awful. I would see them at a bar, and they would be absolutely stunning.

rhanks Bav for the dissertation. It's stupid, but it's all perception. Look at a picture of Jennifer Anniston then vs now. It's not that the girls are any hotter, it's just old pictures and old styles just go out the window. It took me 3 years but high waisted jean shorts are pretty hot to me now.

Quotas are your answer, gentlemen.

Just as, e.g., UVa legislatively mandates 65% of its students must be Virginia residents, I suggest that the Florida legislature require a certain percentage of hot stupid coeds. The school should require photos of tank-topped mink-skirted lassies as part of the application process. Perhaps the number of hotties should be the number necessary to fill Jennie Murphree.
