There is a website that shows the various public meetings that have occurred (and are occurring) in connection with this search. https://presidentialsearch.fsu.edu. The most recent meeting was Friday, February 12. The next one is March 23.
If you enjoy rhetoric, this resource may be for you. The only substantive thing I heard from watching the Friday video is that the committee "hopes" to conclude the search before the end of "the current academic term," with a few caveats clearly staked out (i.e., don't be worried or surprised if it takes longer). A consultant from California -- Alberto Pimentel -- is again involved (he was also the consultant in the Thrasher hire). An 8-page "position profile" is being developed -- and you can see a draft online -- and the BoT is expected to approve it next Friday, February 19. At that point, FSU can begin public advertising, etc. An interesting process that reflects the way academia works.
