The No. 9 Florida State softball (20-4) picked up its 20th win of the season on Saturday as they defeated Oregon State (9-12), 8-2, at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.

Jaysoni Beachum opened the scoring for the Noles right out of the gate as she hit her sixth home run of the season via a solo shot to left field to put the Noles up 1-0. Oregon State tied up the game in top of the second inning.

The Beavers threatened again in the top of the third as they put a runner on third with no outs and had runners on the corners with one out. Julia Apsel picked up a huge strikeout then recorded a popout to end the inning unscathed.

Jahni Kerr led off the bottom of the fourth inning with a bunt single followed by a single from Ashtyn Danley. An error on a fielder's choice loaded the bases for the Noles, and Kennedy Harp delivered with a two-out double to give the Noles a 3-1 lead.

The Beavers responded with a run in the top of the fifth inning, but the Noles got right back to work in the bottom of the inning as Hallie Wacaser drew a walk, and Shelby McKenzie doubled down the left field line to score Wacaser to make it 4-2. Angelee Bueno pinch ran for McKenzie and eventually scored a sacrifice fly from Annabelle Widra.

The offense carried over into the bottom of the sixth inning as Harp led off the inning with a single and immediately advanced to the third on a stolen base and an error and scored on a Michaela Edenfield sacrifice fly. Katie Dack and Bueno hit back-to-back doubles to extend the lead to five, and Amaya Ross hit blooped one into left field to make it 8-2.

Apsel picked up the win to improve to 7-0 on the season as she went 4.1 innings and struck out three. Jazzy Francik was phenomenal out of the bullpen as she retired all eight batters she faced to pick up her fourth save of the season.

The Noles will close out the Jane Sanders Classic on Sunday with a rematch against No. 12 Oregon. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. and can be seen on BTN+.
