Having lunch today with a colleague and he mentioned that he was a season ticket holder for the new MLS Atlanta United team. He told me that the stadium was so far behind that he was already given a refund to two upcoming soccer games in August that were suppose to be played in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. One of the dates he was given a refund for was on August 23rd, only a mere 10 days before we play Bama. So it looks like if we play in the new Falcons stadium then it will be the official first game.
Don't know if this is new news or old news but I have been wondering why no word about the stadium. Georgia Dome inside starting to be demo and they would not moving this big of a game to Ga Tech stadium that only leaves Charlotte and Jacksonville as backups if it can not be played in ATL. Anyone else hearing anything about the MB stadium??
