The No. 25 Florida State women’s basketball team (17-4, 7-2 ACC) secured a dominant 104-80 road win over Boston College (12-11, 3-7 ACC) on Thursday night at the Conte Forum. The Seminoles surpassed the 100-point mark for the sixth time this season, breaking the program record for most 100-point games in one season.

Makayla Timpson earned her 43rd career double-double off a 21 point and 11 assist night, extending the program record for most double-doubles by a Seminole. It was her 12th of the season, leading ACC. Timpson also swatted three blocks and dished two assists.

The nation’s leading scorer, Ta’Niya Latson, found open teammates early for a team-leading seven assists before finding her scoring rhythm in the second half with 14 points off eight made shots and a perfect five-of-five performance at the free throw line. She also grabbed eight rebounds and registered one block.

FSU had five players scoring in double-digits, led by Timpson and Latson, who each scored 21 points. O’Mariah Gordon notched 13 points and five boards with five assists while Malea Williams equaled her season high of 10 points for the third time this season.

The Seminoles began the game with authority as Latson secured the two-point basket with the foul before Gordon snatched a steal and sprinted away for the layup to put FSU up five within the opening 30 seconds. The offensive prowess continued in the paint as all five starters scored 5+ points with 14 points off seven turnovers to hold a 51-39 lead at the half.

Florida State maintained its 12-point lead going into the final quarter before saving its best for last with a 31-point fourth quarter with eight different scorers to secure its third 20-point win in conference play. The Seminoles led for 39:40 of the 40-minute game.
