Former Florida State track and field standout Kim Jones was one of three athletes selected to State of Florida Track and Field Hall of Fame Class of 2025 on Monday.

During her time at FSU, she became a four-year letter winner and six-time ACC Champion at Florida State from 1999-2003. Additionally, she was also named a five-time All-American Honorable mention accolades in the 60-meter hurdles, 100-meter hurdles, Indoor and outdoor long jump. A four-year letter win, Jones competed professionally following graduation, where she had a six-year sponsorship from Nike.

"I’m very honored to be inducted into the State of Florida Track and Field Hall of Fame,” Jones said. I join an elite number of FSU legends such as Mike Long, Terry Long, Curtis Long, Jim Long, and Dick Roberts. I’m excited to be elected to such an enriched and legendary class as this. A huge thank you to the State of Florida Track and Field Hall of Fame! This marks the third of my career.”

Jones was inducted into the North Carolina High School of Fame earlier this year, after a historical career at Grimsley High School.

As an athlete at Grimsley, Jones won six outdoor individual state championships, which included the 100m hurdles in 1998 and 1999. She won two indoor titles in the 55m hurdles (1998) and long jump (1999). Her measurement in the long jump (18ft, 9.25 inches) was set as a meet record for all classification that stood firm until 2005.
In addition to her success around the track and sandpit, she was the NCHSAA 4A Women's Outdoor Track Championship MVP in 1998 and 1999. Jones was also named the North Carolina Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
The induction ceremony will take place in Orlando in January at the Disney Wide World of Sports.
