We all hope the we will be better off in the Sept than we are now .. and this looks very likely. The better things get . less testing more fans in the stadium and less quarantines of the kids.

The gold standard was for us to hit 250,000-300,000 test a day and be at or below 8% positive. The 8% lets you know your doing enough testing. In the first few weeks of mark we were at a few 100 a day.

Yesterday we did 492,276 test in a day and
yesterday we had 5.3 % test positive ... (7 day moving average)
seems to have licked this testing thing so we are hoping antigen testing is the next one we solve?

*******************************************************************************************

maybe by end of June we are heavy into antigen testing? we have several approved and out .. just need to be cheaper and more accurate. I think that happens in mass by end of June

also hydroxychloroquine and remdesivir have a few really large studies out. Maybe one of these can put a dent in those that are older and less healthy.

Also it is getting hotter .. summer is here .. more heat more humidity more outside .. it spreads less

Every month things change .. so far for the better

Currently, Remdesivir is approved only for the very sick and it must be administered in a hospital. It has worked to shorten the hospital stay, but the percentage of new infected patients that require hospitalization is much less than six weeks ago. That is great news but we need an anti-viral drug that can be administered by local doctors as outpatient treatment. Although many newly infected people have little if any symptoms, those that get sick but not sick enough to be hospitalized still struggle with the illness. Also, it would be comforting for the newly infected that there was an outpatient treatment that makes them non contagious quicker.

There is current testing for Remdesivir for those less ill, and there are also tests using that drug in conjunction with an anti-inflammatory drug that has been around for years. Lots happening.

I hope you're right across the board and we'll wait to see what the larger studies say, but right now I hold anyone who even mentions hydroxychloroquine in doubt as an informed opinion.

was reading some news reports out of italy, some doctors there believe the virus is weakening. cases and deaths are declining.

Is this a national data information?

yes .. here are two quicky sites

https://covidtracking.com/data/us-daily

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/testing/individual-states

most of the other sites require that you know what your looking at like
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?napp=mysection&order=17&subOrder=0&totalCount=17
For example if you need to click on yesterday to get a full day and then you see 638 dead. That is really good .. was almost 3000 a month ago and .. if you click on the US it will give you data by state.
top 5 states 35%
next 5 states 15%
next 23 states 50% or average less than 15 deaths
17 states with no deaths

again .. we were trying to hit 250,000 - 300,000 to master this step honestly could hit a million a day by end of june . depending on the next goal and the smaller labs ..

Yes saw a show that said the virus had slightly mutated and was less deadly and weakened
summer - heat and humidity should be significant .. we need to make hay while sun shines

solve the antigen test issues
get a working anti viral
get better protections for the old and unhealthy ..
keep fast tracking the %###$^ out of the vaccines

would not depend on it weakening or sleeping forever .. but we are heading in the right direction.

summer - heat and humidity should be significant .. should drop off

TOTALLY agree - we need to make hay while sun shines

solve the antigen test issues
get a working anti viral - that would be a knock out for the virus .. until a vaccine ..
keep fast tracking the %###$^ out of the vaccines
