Here are a couple notable things and defensive numbers from today...

NOTES

-Jimbo Fisher has now coached 75 games as head coach at FSU and is 64-11 in them. That makes him tied with Pete Carroll at USC for the second most victories in his first 75 games since 1996 (1st is Chris Peterson w/ 69 and Urban Meyer is in 3rd w/ 63)

Let's talk Dalvin Cook shall we?

-Cook has 955 yards through 6 games, which is an ACC record
-Cook had over 100 yards rushing (again) which gives him his 9th 100+ yard game of his career and his 7th in his last 9 contests. He's now 6th all time on the 100+ yard games list at FSU (tied with Greg Jones.)
-Cook's 11 touchdowns total for 457 yards or 41.5 yards.

-The Seminoles didn't have an offensive turnover for the 6th straight game and had no turnovers at all for the 5th straight game. Both are school records. To put that in perspective, Everett Golson has attempted 177 passes and the 'Noles have rushed the ball 209 times.

-Golson was 26 of 38 for 372 yards and 3 TDs, his highest attempts, completions, and yards total since he came to FSU.

-His 8th career 300+ yard passing game and his 2nd in garnet and gold.

-Also his 9th game with 3+ passing TDs

-The 70 yard TD to Kermit Whitfield his longest at FSU and his second longest all time (longest was 78 yds vs. Navy in 2014)

-FSU is now 9-1 vs. U of L at Doak Campbell with their lone loss coming in their first meeting in 1950

-In their last six home games against the 'Cards the 'Noles have scored at least 30 points

-Kermit Whitfield set a career high for yards (172) this week, breaking his previous best which was just last week vs. Miami.

-Whitfield and Cook combined to be FSU's first 100+ yard rusher and receiver in the same game since the 2014 ACC title game (Cook and Greene.)

-For the 2nd straight game FSU had over 500 yards of offense

-Today marked the first start of Derwin James college career and he marked it with 6 tackles, a sack, a TFL, and a forced fumble

-5 sacks was the most L'Ville has allowed on Lamar Jackson. It was the most sacks FSU's defense has recorded since having 7 vs. Idaho in 2013.
