They call it Coptimus Prime and it's over in New Braunfels....the cops pulled it off some drug traffickers.
I actually might be in the market for a C5 ZO6 in the near future. I'm thinking of selling my '72.
No, Houston. But New Braunfels is not too far. Nice little German town with the best water park in the nation (Schlitterbaun) and sits right on the Comal and Guadalupe rivers.
C6 GS coupe would also be on the list.Looks like a widebody conversion on a standard C6. Wrong wheels and has Wilwood brakes which I couldn't fathom doing over the stock Z and Grand Sport 6 piston setup with 6 separate pads.
I drove a C6 Z when I bought my Volt. They were trying to get me to trade my 66 Vette on it. The Z needs good tires, really good tires, or it's useless. I smoked them in 4th gear going about 20 MPH @ about 60 percent throttle and the tires that were on that car were very good. The Z really needs the Sport Cup tire which are about 600 each for the rears and 500 each for the fronts... and only last 8-10k miles and make the car pretty useless in the rain.
I actually prefer the C6 Grand Sport over the C5 or C6 Z06. All the brakes and wide tires with a more street friendly 436 HP (with dual mode exhaust) and the top comes off. It may be less raw performance but it is more fun for me to drive and doesn't require tires to be changed more frequently than the oil.
Love me some New Braunfels.
