Charles Kelly had the defense ready and they kept us in this game, keeping bama out of the end zone multiple times after the O/special teams turned the ball over in our own territory.
The secondary was thin with no Nate Andrews, No Carlos Becker, and No Trey Marshall in the first half causing us to keep true freshman DB's on the field for an extended period of time. Bama busted a big TD play early with true freshman Hansah Nasirildeen matched up on Calvin Ridley in the slot, then later Stanford Samuels III gets burnt on a long play. Other than that this defense kept Bama in check and pretty well shut down the run game despite being on the field for most of the second half.
Damien Harris was Bamas leading rusher with 73 yards, 34 of those yards came on the first play of the game.
Hurts 15 carries for 55yds.
Bo Scarborough 15 carries for 40 yards.
Receiving wise Calvin Ridley was the only player with more than 1 catch he had 7 catches for 82 yds including a 53yd TD over Nasirilideen.
