He came across as a really good guy. Sorry for his family.

Loved him on Night Court, and the show as a whole. He had a great ability to go from slapstick nonsense to serious Judge effortlessly. Of that golden era of NBC sitcoms, which happened to correspond with my middle school and high school years, it was probably my favorite, surpassing even Cheers. They were like the black sheep of NBC sitcoms. A lot less wholesome than the rest. And oh yeah, Markie Post was the first MILF.
