I know this is the Locker Room and everyone here has an entire team of butlers that have sterling moral integrity and would never steal. :)

I'm leaving a little test of cash out to see if my current maid is honest. I took a picture of the cash to make sure there would be no mistake.

Have you ever had a maid try to rob you blind? How did you expose her?

I never had a maid steal something, but one did break something in the house and initially denied it when I found it and asked her about it. She finally called me back and fessed up.

The broken item wasn’t a big deal but I wasn’t happy about the lie. Still, I extended her some grace and didn’t make an issue of it.

Never. And I've left out stacks of cash accidentally. She just moves the cash to where the bills and mail are located. She does take sodas from the fridge. Busted her with that a few times..

Our cleaning lady doesn't steal any money but she does eat a lot of our fruit. We've never told her she couldn't. Apricots, nectarines, mangos and blackberries are her favorites. Unfortunately, she has no interest in apples, oranges (unless I've got Honeybells or Temples) or bananas.

I had this guy - friend of a friend - clean my apartment once. Did a bang up job, but when we all went to his girlfriend's place later on, I noticed a statue that looked identical to one in my apartment. I confronted him about it and he got really offended. Really awkward situation.

Lol - was your statue in fact missing?

My cleaning lady doesn’t steal from me to my knowledge but my yard guy makes off with lots of veggies from our garden.

Brian, is this you?

I got some Percocets when I had surgery a few years ago and I was sure one of the maids stole them. Come to find, several months later, I’d just put them in my safe.

I have a valet drawer. It has a glass top and in it there are spaces for cuff links, belts, collar stays, pens by business card case. Things like that, and a space for my watches. I have a couple of expensive watches that from time too time I don’t put in the safe. I don’t wear them often, but I’ve left them in that valet, somewhat on display a few times. If my maids were thieves they would have been gone for sure.

Yeah, but he cleaned the one inch space between your fridge and counter and uncoagualated your dish soap dispenser, so who cares about a statue.

Cleaning ladies have never taken anything but contractors have. And they had to search for it because I would never leave anything out. I even clean up before the cleaning lady comes.
