HBO finally confirms no Game of Thrones this year

We already all knew it, but now it's official although there's no defined release date. We do know that it's only going to be 6 episodes however.

So this year exists with no Game of Thrones and no Stranger Things. sigh.

Yeah, I’m not a big HBO fan other than GOT, I usually like the Starz and Showtime shows better.

So I looked through the current HBO programming (as I sometimes forget what’s on a specific channel thanks to the DVR) and the only show I currently watch other than GOT is Westworld. The upcoming Watchmen series and Lovecraft Country are probably the only shows I would start watching.

Meanwhile on Showtime I watch Homeland, I’m Dying Up Here and on Starz I watch Outlander, American Gods and Ash versus Evil Dead.

And that’s it. Now that I’m typing this out....I should probably drop my premium programming all together and just buy the Blu-rays on the series I like. I watch WAY more stuff on Netflix, AMC, and FX now than I do the premium channels.

HBO has a far more extensive library of great series than any other premium network.
