Just signed up for HelloFresh. Anyone care to share their experience with it?

Shoot. My apps are screwing up again. I thought this was war chant, but instead I got Better Homes and garden.😎

just kidding. My wife gets them and loves the convenience. Food is good too. She switches between several of those box dinner sites.

It’s fantastic! My wife and I have been using Hello Fresh for about 3 years now!

Their customer service is top notch! If you have any problems like missing ingredients (which rarely happens) just call them and they will take care of it (refund).

The quality of all the meals is great! It’ll teach you cooking techniques and how to properly season stuff as well.

I know you’ll enjoy it because we surely do!

We have it some weeks the meals don’t interest us. When they do they are very good. I wish some of the prep was done when you got it. I am not a big fan of preping the veggies.

They’re pretty easy meals. I’d say blue apron is like the elevated version. The benefit to any of the meal boxes: if a recipe calls for like sesame oil or something, they provide as much as you need and you don’t have to go out and get $12 worth of it and have a full bottle just sit in the pantry forever. Also, I feel like it’s easy to fall behind with cooking them, so maybe start with two a week and go from there.

We tried Blue Apron and didn’t like it near as much as HelloFresh. I also like how HF packages everything (except for the meat) in a single bag whereas Blue Apron has a small bag with some of the ingredients and the rest of the ingredients are randomly tossed in the box.

Agree to disagree

Anyone buy one of those meat boxes from Omaha steaks? IF so, was the meat better than you can get from a local butcher and would you buy again?

Heh, I thought that was you in your avatar. Guess you are a dood.

So how many nights a week do you all get the meals and how much is it roughly?

No, that’s my wife in the pic!

We get a box of HF on Tuesdays. The box contains as many meals as you order that week (the box only comes once a week). We typically get 4-5 meals per week. You can get as little as 3 meals per week. Each meal is $9.99/serving unless you get a premium meal which is an additional charge per serving (typically $7-$10 per serving). If you are getting 4 regular meals it would be around $80 since that’s 8 servings at $9.99 each.

I've used them twice, once for me and another for a gift and been pleased both times. The steaks were comparable to a dedicated quality butcher shop ant better than any grocery store around here. The chops were quite good as well. The burgers were very good. The sides were meh not bad not great.
