Here is a sports car, and a car for “sports”...

Nice, I was walking the dog the other night and a neighbor had a vett similar to this in the driveway. It’s what I’d get for a midlife crisis car.

Sweet ride!

I would have thought that Vette would go for more than $30-50K given that it has less than 12,000 miles and all original equipment/parts in perfect condition.
It likely will go for more. A low estimate to get more interest is the strategy.
** The Vette is heating up.
A local from near the owners farm was in... she knew all about it and talks about taking it home. Several folks from SC, close friends of the guy who provided a report on the car, are registered to bid. A dude who bought a GTO from us years ago is on it. A deep pockets DC lawyer (think Gonolz) is on it because their first ummm.. “experience” happened in the front seat of a red 64... One of the masters of the universe ( hedge fund guy) has registered.
The latter two bid with us routinely and generally get what they want. Who knows the magic number, but it has been cool to see the car around. As a guy who retired from our place used to say, we can enjoy “living with” various objects for awhile without owning them...

Pretty bad ace, very original ‘Vette...as in under 12,000 miles original.

Here is a classic for those whom my old man used to refer as a sport.

My uncle, who just passed away last month, had a gorgeously restored '64 convertible vette. Champagne color. Looked like something from a poster.
I still preferred the '34 3 window Ford he had (think ZZ Top). Black and absolutely gangster.

It's a 64. They are the red headed step child of the C2's. They don't seem to bring as much money as a 63 or 65-67. Also it is a low option car. No power steering or brakes.

Still have it. It's for sale, I just haven't told anyone. :D
We are on an RV trip for a while, will probably start advertising it this summer.

As much as I lusted after one of these 60s Vettes, they are purely for show...unless you like riding on a brick.

What it has going for it, is it is a "Survivor", i.e. all original. Although I'm shocked it still has a pristine convertible top. You can buy date coded tops these days.

Hey, do you still have your '75 or did you get something with a back seat?

I still have my '75. I keep threatening to sell it, but then I take it for a drive and fall in love again. I know it's not the sexiest of all the years the Vette was built, but the thing just starts up and drives. I haven't put any money into it at all hardly. I keep saying I want to drop a crate engine into it and get a new paint job, but I'd never get that money out of it.

I just hop in, crank it up and take it on down the road. I'd love to have yours, but I'd need to sell mine first.

How long are you gone? I'm going to be in Ft. Worth at the Renaissance from the 13th of this month - the 25th. Beer?

Crap, we're gone until late June.
