The prosecution is methodically proving its case. Yesterday, the state showed video footage of Hernandez walking through his home shortly after the murder with a gun that is of the same make/model as the one that shot the fatal rounds.

I think this guy is toast, courtesy of his own home security cameras. No matter the ultimate outcome, he has been shown to be a complete piece of human trash. Go Gata!

I thought they presented a joint/cig that was found at the crime scene with his DNA on it too?

That's about as open/shut kind of evidence you'll find short of HD video of the act itself.

I've been following the case and he is being destroyed.

They actually found his DNA on a shell casing... He had wrapped the shell casing in his gum.

He is toast... And if he gets anything short of life without parole, they are gonna finish it with the other 2 murders they have on him.

Just another Gator Great!

It has to be about the sloppiest murder ever. I realize they haven't found the weapon but my god the circumstantial evidence and timeline the prosecution has is just about flawless. It's also fantastic how the NFL has pressured ESPN into barely covering it.

Did you see the shady move the prosecutors pulled last week. Hernandez's girlfriend still refuses to testify. It is presumed that she dumped the gun and would put the final nail in Hernandez's coffin. I am sure that the girlfriend has been apprised that if she does testify that all the money dries up. I'm sure that the lawyers have blown through a big chunk of his money and the civil case that will be filed will eat up the rest, but if he is not in jail, there is a chance that he can keep some of the money or maybe the NFL will employ him.

In any event, the prosecution puts up the baby sitter under the guise that she had some relevant testimony. Hernandez's girlfriend was in the courtroom. After about three relevant questions, they go into questioning her about the time Hernandez took her into the bedroom and offered money for sex.

I guess the girlfriend still didn't flip. Money can be a great motivator.

I wouldn't call that shady, I'd call that smart.

Yeah, that doesn't sound shady at all. It's not like they had two airmen enter while they were questioning her, claiming that they would recall what was written on the logbooks the night in question.

And I'd also say there's probably some other motivation for the girlfriend, I doubt that AH has absolutely no 'friends' on the outside that wouldn't take care of her or her family if she were to testify.

I haven't been following lately, but did they allow his "friend" from florida to testify? Originally, the judge wasnt going to let other alleged shootings be used. But since then, the defense has revealed their argument, which is why would AH shoot his friend. The prosecutors filed an appeal stating if they are using the friendship argument, they should be able to combat it with the fact that AH has shot his friends before.

the girlfriend is likely an accomplice to the murder of her sister's fiance. i believe they gave her immunity, and apparrently she's still not cooperating. That's far shadier than anything the prosecution did.

this evidence will stay out. long story, but the prosecution lost this battle.

So if the girlfriend testifies" the money dries up"? What genius has not yet figured out that the money train is going off the rails regardless?

Wouldn't it be great if he did a tell all book and threw them, Urban and a bunch of others under the bus?

Yes, it would be a very entertaining read, and face it, he's gonna need the money and he'll have lots of time on his hands in the slammer to write the book.

Every time I think of Aaron Hernandez, I can't help but picture the old Key & Peele skit where the substitute teacher says, "You done messed up, A-A-Ron!" LOL

Don't forget OJ. Never has guilt been more obvious, but he skated on double murder. Only takes 1 crazy juror to ruin the party. The absence of the murder weapon is a problem. The prosecution has overcome that in my view, but who knows what the people on the jury are thinking?

I'm surprised since the defense opened the door.

Yesterday was actually a "highlight" for Team Hernandez. On cross exam, the defense got the Glock executive to admit that the gun seen on the home video COULD have been a toy pellet gun instead of a Glock .45. OK, swell. Not sure that overcomes the DNA evidence on the cigarette butt and the spent shell casing, but whatever. As one legal observer commented, "Team Hernandez has defended this whole case always within a yard or two of its own goal line."

The evidence against Hernandez is overwhelming, and only some juror shenanigans like we saw in the OJ case can save him.

Y'all know OJ was innocent right? Before you ask, I'm being dead serious. His son did it.
Hernandez doesn't have the son to do it though.

Interesting. Would love to hear more about this. If true, it seems odd that the authorities did not charge the son. Surely would have been an easier prosecution. Also, none of OJ's "post incident conduct" was at all consistent with the idea that he was not the perpetrator. Surely he did not have the prescience to "stage" all of that as a cover for his son. Please elaborate.

I didn't read this book, but rather watched the film he made based on the book. It has since been removed from YouTube, presumably because he made a better produced version and/or is making the rounds at film festivals. It is called 'The Overlooked Suspect.'

He makes a very compelling argument that, at worst, OJ is guilty of knowingly covering up his son's guilt. There is a lot to the theory, including physical evidence (a knife of OJ's son was found in an abandoned storage unit, matching the one used in the murder), to try and spell out in one comment or from memory. All I can tell you is that I remember watching it and being blown away, and thinking the investigator had given me more than a reasonable doubt to OJ's guilt, and that his son must have been guilty.

I think it hasn't gotten very much attention because OJ is now in jail so people feel like some sort of justice has been served, and it's just an old story that people have already accepted the version that OJ obviously did it as truth.

Haha, that's perfect! Anyone know about how much longer before this gets turned over to the jury?

If Jeff Cameron had written the opening post it would have read, "The prosecution is methodically proving its case. Yesterday, the state showed video footage of Hernandez a former University of Florida football player walking through the former University of Florida football player's home shortly after the murder with a gun that is of the same make/model as the one that shot the fatal rounds.

And of course once a former University of Florida football player always a former University of Florida football player.
