How do you embed a Youtube video into a post?

I see it all the time where people put in Youtube videos in a post... how is that done?

paste the URL in the post, count to 6, remove the link, and then repaste it

When replying there is an icon above the text box that has different code you can insert. There is a film icon (for media) next to the sun/mtn icon (for pictures). Click that and paste the URL from YouTube in the form field.
