There's another person missing off a cruise ship. I imagine that almost every time it involves alcohol and/or suicide.
The day a cruise line begins limiting or monitoring their guests alcohol consumption will be the day of the first passenger ship mutiny since the Amistad.Originally posted by tommynole3476:
I seem to remember watching a report about how some (maybe all) cruise ship companies really don't monitor or limit alcohol consumption at all. And it might seem reasonable, it's not like anyone is getting in a car, but I'd be willing to bet 99/100 of these incidents involve alcohol.

I used to work in the cruise industry and have seen footage of several people going overboard, and seen the reports or heard the stories of many more. Nobody "accidentally" falls. Almost always someone doing something stupid when drunk, on occasion suicide, and rarely they are thrown.

It seems like the perfect way to kill your spouse/girlfriend. I went to the bathroom and she was gone, I figured she went back to the casino so i went to find her. Sounds to easy and how do you prove otherwise?

I'm no drinker, but that seems a bit absurd, especially since I thought most people sneak their hard liquor onto the boat?
That's a pretty good deal if you're a drinker.Originally posted by tommynole3476:

Any of the major cruise lines have pretty stringent requirements on the height of all railings... and anyone shorter than Shaq would have a hard time accidentally flipping over.Originally posted by Fijimn:
I can see that the poors with their interior rooms are on this thread. The wall around the balcony on a suite is low....good height for extra curricular activities....bad height for the post-activity blissfulness.
