for our coaching staff. We have not improved as a team since the first game. Actually, I think we have regressed somewhat in several areas. The OL did look better against WF, but that is Wake. QB seems lost and cannot throw a consistent ball, underthrows the long routes and seems to throw behind guys. I am worried he will not be able to win games in the clutch. WR drop easy passes and TE play has been weak.

But my main concern is the intensity of the team. I rarely see emotion. Are we just bored or what?

JFs offense is way off. Too many guys thinking instead of playing football. EG looks like a guy afraid to make a mistake. The only guy that is lights out is DC.

Like I have heard in other posts, our line of scrimmage is weak. Is this a S&C problem? Do our guys just don't have a mean streak?

And, finally recruiting. This may touch a nerve, but we have been no. 3 in overall recruiting rankings over the past 5 years behind Bama and OSU. This is a bit misleading because our big hits have come in the WR, QB, DB, and RB areas. Both our OL, DL, and LB recruiting is not at the no. 3 level. Both Bama and OSU are lights years ahead of us in the lines of scrimmage. This is where we are hurting most. And don't get me started on our punter.

For some reason, I feel we are slipping. Coaching staff is not developing the talent or the system is just too hard for these guys to learn. Something is really wrong.

We are a 8-4 team right now. No better unless something changes. And we are ranked way too high. After four games and the eyeball test says we are no better than Top 20 or 25.
