I am drinking and I live in the Keys

Wife and I love to visit Islamorada. Lorelies is one of our favorite places. Have not been there in about 3 years now but hope to get back next year now that we are back home in Florida.

I grew up in marathon area. Folks still live there. I couldn’t wait to get out though. Much prefer alpine environments.

Graduated(62) from South Dade High in Homestead. Did a lot of fishing in the Keys. Fished quite often at Snake Creek Bridge with my parents and my buddies. Loved fishing the reefs and the Gulf Stream. Lots of great memories.

Brings back my Navy brat memories. My family moved to Key West in 1956 when I was tiny, after a couple of years we moved on here and there then back to Key West for two of my high school years where I was the absolute worst football player my most vivid memory of which was the team bus bouncing off the railing on the old Seven Mile Bridge late at night.

Oh yea, drinking, I've never been able to handle wine ever since a bad experience with Boone's Farm down there.

Have not thought about this stuff for a very long time there are things best forgotten.

Boone’s Farm! Wild Mountain, Strawberry Hill and Apple something. Have not thought about them in years. Mostly good memories for me!

What years? We were there from June 69 to June 72. My Dad was the Commander of the radar site out at the NAS on Boca Chica. My sister would have been class of 73 at KWHS.

How about that! 1969 - 1971, your sister was one year behind me. My Dad was stationed at the sub base we lived on Gilmore Drive, Sigsbee Park, our neighbor's uncle managed the bowling alley at Boca Chica we used to bowl there all the time for free. Small world.

My Dad was the senior ranking USAF officer there (Colonel) so we lived on Mitscher Dr. on the water. Good times.
