This is awesome...

"Once upon a time, on a dark and stormy night 300 years ago, a fleet of treasure-bearing Spanish ships were sunk off the Florida coast. Now, those coins have been found, and are estimated to value approximately $4.5 million.

William Bartlett was fifteen feet offshore, diving in three feet of water when the coins revealed themselves like a scene out of a Hollywood film. His salvage crew assembled the treasure to find more than 300 coins, on the 300th anniversary of the wrecks."

No kidding, that's incredible.

I didn't catch where off the coast they found?

What I don't get is that you'd think that close to shore the gold coins were washing around in sand. Do that for 300 years and you'd expect the imprints on the coins to be completely (or mostly) worn smooth. Gold's not a hard metal. Maybe they were in a case or something.
